Hello everyone!!!

This year in Digitools 9, I want to learn how to be even more efficient and productive. I think that I am a very responsible student, who has a good work ethic, is very organized, and I can keep my grades up, but there is always room to improve. In Digitools 7 my typing average was around 45, and that is about where it is now, I know this from my most recent Typing Test scores. I think that I can definitely improve that score but I’ll need to work on accuracy also. So overall I would say I type fluently. I will learn best in this class if I follow directions, understand the work, and ask questions on what doesn’t make any sense. This year in Digitools I am worried that I will fall behind or I will have a hard time doing the work since everyone says it is hard to do! But to avoid falling behind I will make sure to always make time to finish my work, and when ever I am having trouble I will come in and ask for help and do a little bit of extra work to make sure I am working to my full potential.

My name is Mason Blachly and what I want to learn in Digitools 9 is how to learn all the systems of a computer and to learn all the intriguing features on a computer. From what I remember from 7th grade was that my typing score was around 25 wpm and I hope I can get it up to at least 35 by the end of the year I think I will learn best in PowerPoint because I had some practice over the summer time. The thing that I will be most worried about in Digitools is probable fail it with flying colors cause that was just about what I did in 7th grade. Also by having track and you having late evening turn in and having you sick on important days or test. By using all the time I can to get it done and use any type of computer that will help me get thought the rest of my high school year and pass all of the computer classes I can take and try to pass all the certificates for word, excel, PowerPoint, and office. Also to listen to you when you are talking about something important.

My name is Alyssa Kay Wolf and I am fourteen years old. I love sports, softball is my favorite, and I also play softball and volleyball. I love the Cougars, even though they’re not very good in some sports, and I love the Seahawks. My favorite classes are science and English, and my least favorite is math. This year in Digitools I would like to learn how to use PowerPoint better so I can give better presentations in other classes. I would also like to work on typing more accurately. My typing speed is pretty fast, but my errors slow me down. After I have my adjusted speed I am a little better than average. I think the best way for me to learn in this class is to listen and ask questions. Asking questions helps me clear things up and it helps me learn better. I am worried about getting everything in on time and taking big tests. Getting everything in on time will be a challenge because we get so many assignments and one due date that is way later. It will be hard to keep track and make sure I get everything in on time. I am also worried about big tests because we have to pass all the tests to do well in the class and the tests are a big part of our grade. Those are the two big things I’m worried about. Some things I’m going to do to be successful in this class are have no late assignments and do well on tests. I need to do well on the two things that I’m most worried about. Of course listening and asking questions is a big part of doing well, but if I do well on these two things then I should do great in this class. I think I will have a good year and do well in this class.

I am Madison Dixon a freshman at Pomeroy High School and I love sports, basketball and volleyball are my favorite. I show steers, sheep, and goats this is also my first year in FFA. I am a farm girl that likes to go out and help my family with cows, harvest and all that comes with it. I would like to learn more about excel, power point, and publisher to help me become a successful farmer. I think that my typing speed is about average maybe just a little bit under and I will work hard to make it as high as I can get it. I think that I will learn best in this class if I stay focused, get all of my work turned in on time and follow all of the directions. I am most worried about getting everything finished on time but I will turn it in even if it’s not done so I will at least get some credit. I am going to make sure I am successful by working as hard as I can in class and making sure that I get everything turned in and that I have every DQ done on time and correct.

Hi I’m Gavin Gould I am from Pomeroy Jr.Sr high school. I want to learn how to be better and smarter when I’m on Word, Excel, and powerpoint. My typing speed is not very good but I hope to improve it well I’m in your class. My typing speed Is 37-39 that’s not to far from the average but it’s not the average. I want to be able to be as fast as Jack lyle he types over 50 words per minute. I feel like I will learn a lot this year. I am going to try the hardest I can and stay on task and be at the top of the class. I am worried that i will fall behind and not be able to catch up. I am going to make sure that I don’t fall behind and get off task. Paying attention is going to be the hardest and I think that I can do it. So i hope that you like me more then when I was in seventh grade. :)

Hello I am Jack Lyle and as you already know I go to Pomeroy High School and what i want to learn most this year In Digitools Is about Computer Hardware but I highly doubt we're going to do much of that, and my typing speed did not improve too much from last year (about 30-40 was about my WPM from when I was in 7th grade) It’s about 50-60 WPM and I believe I will learn best If I keep to myself and not talk when I'm not supposed to. What I'm most worried about doing this year Is doing something really embarrassing such as falling off of one of the balls and also Failing Digitools, and this year I'm going to try my best this year to not fail such as asking for help when I need It and staying after school, and before school to work on these DQ’s and also any missing/late work (If I get any which I hope I don't get so I don’t start failing) so I don't have to redo this class next year and makeup any work from the class that I would be pulled out of and make It up after school like I did last year with P.E.
Briielle

My name is Briielle, I'm a Freshman at PHS, and I'm currently taking Digitools 9. There are a lot of things I would like to learn in Digitools; such as how to improve my typing speed (currently an average of 47wpm), more information on computers, blogging etiquette, and how to efficiently use application skills that I'm sure will be taught in this class. As I said, my average typing speed is currently 47wpm, and I'm hoping to improve this by the end of the year, in which I'm sure I can manage, and although it's above the average typing speed for my grade level, I still think I can improve and successfully have a typing speed of 56wpm. To learn best in this class, I will push myself to study before the tests given to us, work hard, and stay focused. It's not about how intelligent you are, it's about how well you apply your intelligence and how much effort you put into it.

I am the type of person who isn’t very organized, but I try my best to be. This year in Digitools I want to learn more about how to work with computers and how I can be a computer whiz. My typing speed isn’t very good compared to the average typing speed for a freshmen, but I’m trying my best to get it up to the average speed. I think that I will learn best if I take notes on what we are learning, and also listening to music helps me focus more on what I am working on. The thing that I am most worried about is, failing Digitools and having to retake the class again. Some ways that I am going to make sure that I am successful in Digitools, is I am going to make sure that I take notes, also pay more attention in class, than what I did in seventh grade. Also I’m going to make sure that my work is done to the best of my ability, and turn it in on time. Also when I can redo assignments I will make sure that I understand what I got wrong, understand why I got it wrong, and redo it so I can get a better score. 9/8/2016 06:25:59 pm
I am Tanner Bremer i am a 9th grader in Pomeroy junior senior high school. I want to learn everything i can in digitools, i really want to learn how to type because i can't really type right now without looking at the keyboard. I want to learn about Microsoft word because i want to be able to help people if they need it, i want to learn about excel because i think excel is really hard to do in general so being able to know excel would be amazing. I think my typing speed is very bad to the regular typing speed because mine is 8 and that's like a whole lot of studying i have to do and a whole lot of typing i have to start focusing on. I think i am going to learn best if i pay attention to what Mrs.miller is saying at all times, and by not talking to my friends or anyone around me. honestly i'm most worried about my typing because i really have to improve my typing or i will fail the class and i really don't want to fail. oh by the way i am also scared of failing because i don't want to take digitools 9 again next year. i am going to start typing every night and try to improve my typing. i am also going to try my hardest to learn and pay attention to the teacher.

Well, to start things off, my name is Evan Bartels. I believe I am moderately smart, and ready for learning. What I want to learn in Digitools this year is how to use Microsoft applications like word and excel more efficiently. In my opinion, my typing speed as of right now is quite slow, I believe it is about 34-35 words per minute, but I know it will improve before the end of the year, I'm just a bit rusty. I firmly believe that it will reach the average words per minute for my grade by the end of the year, which is 45 words per minute. I'm a bit worried about these DQs, since I have never done anything like this before, but I'm sure that I'll pick it up soon, and get used to it. I'm also a bit worried about the tests and quizzes on each Microsoft application, and tests and quizzes in general, from past experiences, but by studying and getting my work in on time I know I will do fine. I also will use my resources, like asking for help from friends and family if I get stuck or confused on something. I would most likely ask my older brother since he has done this class before. After doing this for the first time, it feels a lot easier, and I believe that I am ready for Digitools.
Taylor

My name is Taylor Beale. This year in Digitools 9 I want to learn all I can learn about the Microsoft programs such as, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and maybe even Access. I also want to improve my typing speed even though my typing speed is already grade level, I still want to improve it just for fun. I also want to improve it so in the future when I have lots of typing homework or even for my future job needing to type, I won’t take forever to finish what needs to be done. I think I will learn best in this class if I don’t be sat next to anyone who is distracting. The thing that is most worrying to me about this class is how fast things need to happen. The class itself isn’t hard, it’s that it’s always so busy that I’m scared if I get slightly unorganized it will jeopardize my grade and the rest of my school year in ninth grade. But to stay successful in Digitools 9, I will be sure to stay organized, and to turn my assignments in on time and if I do terrible on a test, then take the time to retake them and understand them better. This is going to be a great year.

My name is Sydney Watko and my favorite color is red, I love to play sports (especially basketball). I have 1 sister who lives with me at home. In Digitools I want to learn more about letters for business and emails. I would also like to learn more about the computer and what you can do with it. My typing speed I would say is about 42wpm, which is really close to the average for our grade level. Sometimes I am right there with it and sometimes I am a little under it. I know that this class is going to be the hardest for me. The best ways I think I am going to learn in this class is making sure I turn in all my assignments and make sure to take notes for sure. The most thing I am worried about in this class is not getting good grades and doing really bad on tests and quizzes. To make sure that doesn’t happen to me, I’m going to make sure I take notes on everything you suggest, make sure if I don’t understand something I come in for help, and to study the notes before we take that quiz or test.

My full name is Heidi Adelle Heytvelt and I’m 14 years old. My parent’s names are Lou and Lillian Heytvelt. I have two brothers, Havin is the oldest and Hogan is the middle child. Hogan is a junior and Havin is in the Army. I would like to learn some more about Excel. I can type pretty fast, about 50 wpm, compared to the normal grade level speed which is 45 wpm. I think I will learn best in this class is by paying good attention to instructions and actually following them. The thing that I’m most worried about in this class is not passing. This year the sophomores told me that Mrs. Miller gives us this thing where we have to complete it perfectly in a certain amount of time, so I’m also worried about not finishing it in time and not completing it perfectly. Some ways I’m going to be successful in Digitools 9 is getting my work done on time and doing it correctly. Also paying attention to directions and following instructions.
Teagan
9/9/2016 12:53:38 pm
I am Teagan Steele and I am from Pomeroy Jr/Sr High School. This year in Digitools I would like to learn a lot of the same stuff that we learned in seventh grade. I forgot a lot of stuff that we learned that year and I would like to learn it again. For example I’d like to learn a lot more about Microsoft Excel. I learned how to use the basic stuff, but there is still more to learn about it. I also want to learn more about Microsoft PowerPoint. I know how to make a slideshow, but I don’t know a lot of how to insert charts and tables. I think my typing speed this year is average for my class. I think I will learn best by doing a lot of stuff hands on because that how I found that I work best. I am worried this year about getting a lot of my work done on time and still doing well on it. I will make sure I am successful in Digitools this year by working on assignments at home during my free time and being accountable. This is my goal this year in Digitools.

9/9/2016 01:02:34 pm
Hi, I am Jaden. This year in Digitools 9 I want to learn more how to use a computer and understand them better. Right now my average typing speed is 35 wpm. Our average grade level speed is 45 wpm so I am a little behind and I need to start practicing typing more so that I can increase my speed level. The best way that I think I can learn is by going over stuff as a class and practicing with other people because that is usually how I learn better in other classes. I am also a visual learner so sometimes I have to draw something to understand it. The thing that I am most worried about in Digitools 9 is not having enough time to work on stuff because I am very busy with other stuff like sports, animals, homework from other classes, and a lot of other things. Also sometimes I like to procrastinate and I have been trying not to procrastinate in my school work. I will work on getting everything in on time by making sure I find extra time during the weeks to work on Digitools like during lunches or before sport practices start.

Hi I am William N. Flaget and I’m sixteen. I grew up in Pomeroy, Washington. I had a rough start to my childhood, my mother left me for drugs when I was ten months old so I grew up without a mother and trust me it was hard. I have lived with my father for almost my whole life. I have been going to the Pomeroy School District since preschool. I am now a High school freshman and proud of it. I love being a student here at PHS.

My name is Danner Robert Maves and I am 14 years old. I like going hunting and fishing in my spare time. In school I do basketball, football, and baseball. In digitools I want to learn how to work computers better and know more about them and know how to use excel better.
