We are working on career research, but do you really know what you want to be when you "grow up"? Maybe you do, or maybe you don't either way you want to find the job that fits you and makes you happy. We may like money, but money will not buy the most important thing in life HAPPINESS. So when you select a career you want to pick one that you will wake up in the morning and say "I am glad I am going to work," not one having you say "I hate going to work I wish I had a different job." With that in mind I want you to think outside the box and do a little self-searching to help identify careers you might be good at.
Click on this link Career Searching and click on “Job Discovery Wizard” under “Or Choose One of Our Other Tests:” When you have to complete information about yourself only fill in the required fields and feel free to use the @psd.wednet.edu e-mail we use on my website. Take the test and look at your results. Provide a reflection of your results by answering questions about the following: What careers did you see that were of interest to you? What careers did you see that you would never want to do? Did your ideal career show up on the list, why or why not? Why do you think that the careers listed are there? Why do you think what you like to do and are good at doing reflect on careers you should pick? Add anything else you saw about your results? YOU DO NEED TO WRITE COMMENTS TO TWO DIFFERENT STUDENTS - THESE COMMENTS CAN PERTAIN TO WHAT YOU THINK THEY WOULD BE GOOD AT IN A CAREER OR EVEN COMMENTS THAT EXPLAIN WHY YOU THINK THEY WOULD BE GOOD AT THE CAREER THEY PICKED. |
AuthorMrs. Miller will use the blog to help students ask questions, remember what we did in class and just a place to discuss class topics. Categories
