Give (1) one thing you wish we would have talked more about in yesterday's lecture. 4. Give (1) one question you have from yesterday's lecture or assignment that was given. I will respond to your questions and help with clarifications, but you can also respond to each other to help with questions. If you respond to another student - remember to use proper blog etiquette. Also remember to respond specifically to the student by clicking comment on their comment.

Yesterday I learned that you can draw a table. I still am a little fuzzy on how to convert tables to text. I wish we would have talked more about how to merge and unmerge cells. How do you convert tables to text.

Hogan, you can convert tables to text by going to table tools and then selecting the convert table to text button. You can then choose how you want the text written, like in paragraph form or in a list.

I am also a bit confused about how to merge cells and what the purpose of merging cells is.

merging cells is taking 2 cells or more and putting them together. We would merge cells when we are making a title so that we can center it over the top of our table. To merge cells you select the cells you want to merge and then right click and click on merge cells.

I learned how to insert tables into a word document. I need clarification on how you are supposed to merge cells. I wish we would have talked more about how to merge and split cells. How do you merge and split cells?
Mrs. Miller

See the response to John's question on merge cells. Merge cells are for the title. Split cells takes one cell and divides in half and then you can move the gridlines as needed.

I was gone yesterday when you went over this lecture but I do know a little about how to use them and how to draw them and such. But the only problem I have with tables is that I am confused on how to edit the table after you have drawn it in the document
Mrs. Miller

You can edit by putting cursor over the gridlines and dragging as needed.

See Tabitha's question for turning a table into text. As for design it is something that as you play with it you learn it. If you delete a table that has another table inside you will delete all parts of the table.
