When a student prepares a report for a teacher they are expected to proofread their work, in the business world this is also expected. What do you think an employeer or a customer would think of someone who doesn't proofread their work? What are some tips you have for others to help make proofreading and editing your work easier.
Be sure to post your comments by Friday Feb 4th, and you must also respond to at least one other student's comment by Friday Feb 4th at 11:59pm. Every week there will be a new Discussion Question posted that every student will be required to post comments using thier login information provided. You will be graded on your response and also on your responses to others posts. You must post by Friday of every week. When responding be sure to spell check and proofread your work, keep comments school appropriate and in good taste. Your responses to the other students must not offend anyone or you will be given a zero for the weekly discussion.
All the Math Redo's have been put in the gradebook - so grade is current as of today. Some of you need to make sure that you study hard for the final as it is make or break for you.
I am proud of the students that did redos over break. I will be giving those that did redo's 100% for the assignment if you redid the entire assignment, so yeah for you.
So before school even started today we experenced the first major issue of the year. Students that needed to work on typing lessons came in to work before school and we found that we couldn't open the www.freetypinggame.net site. Students can still access this site at home and finish their 30 lessons, but I did locate another website that the students can do the same lessons, I have posted a list in the classroom to show the 30 lessons and how they coordinate with the new site. The new site iswww.typingweb.com and there are only 6 lessons to complete: Homerow, Top Row, Bottom Row, Basic Punctuation, Numeric Keypad, and Symbols.
ALL Lessons are due Jan 21st. With the winter break coming to an end and the start of 2011 I just want to take a moment to remind my APPLIED MATH students to bring with them all the redo work they completed over break so that they can turn in on Monday and get credit. I will not accept them late, unless you miss class on Monday.
Also remember this is your last 3 weeks to get your grades up for the semester - so work hard. |
AuthorMrs. Miller will use the blog to help students ask questions, remember what we did in class and just a place to discuss class topics. Categories
