Leadership Activities
Professional organizations (and likewise student organizations) are invaluable for people with similar careers and interests. Investigate at least one professional organization on the first web site. Then investigate a web site from the list of student organizations. (Your teacher may provide you with additional sites of student organizations.) Then answer the questions. Question 1: What is the value of belonging to a professional organization? Is the reason for joining similar to the value of becoming a member in a student organization? Why or why not? Site specific examples in your answer. Question 2: What are some of the services provided by both student and professional organizations? What specific professional development opportunities are available? Initial response ALWAYS 150 - 200 words and the reply to other students needs to be meaningful and substantial. On September 11 we should take a moment to reflect on a major United States tragedy, for some this will be a day they lost everything and for others a day they realized everything. All though you were to young to remember this was a day that needs to be remembered and taught about in the history of
our country. In the blog for this week I want you to reflect on what you know about that day and what your parents remember about that day. Then reflect on what the day has done for the USA and your family, have things changed from 2001 to 2014? Are we better off or have our lives been changed for the worse? Finally, reflect on what you think about this day and its personal significances to you or others. I want honesty but respect for others feelings as well. Your initial response should be 200 words. I am not requiring a peer response this week, but if you read another students post and feel there is something you want to post in a reflection for that student you can earn extra credit points for your reflections. |
