To strengthen your communication skills here are some questions to ask yourself to determine how effectively you communicate:
Over the week think about these questions while in school, practice, home, or interacting with friends. Then give a reflection on the 5 questions, and then rate your level of communication from 1-5 with 5 being the best. Tell us how you could improve your communication using the five questions above. For your response to your peers include comments about what they do well of the 5 questions and also one area that you think they could improve on and why. Remember we are giving constructive criticism so our comments are not mean, hurtful, or rude. Putting Off Procrastination- read the article.
On the seven skills listed rated yourself between 1-5 with 5 being the best and 1 worst. Then state how you intend to improve those skills. Then search the web for an article regarding procrastination or time management for high school students. Summarize your article in 3-5 sentences and provide the link to the article. Finally - you will be given two students names in class on Tuesday, tell them how they can improve on one of their procrastination skills listed in the article. Remember constructive criticism is not intended to hurt, but instead to help. If you are rude in your post it will be deleted and zero given for this weeks DQ. For your post to another student make sure it is in response to someone who posted constructive criticism to you. Your post should include why or why not you think that suggestion work for you. **** Some of you need to watch your spelling and punctuation in your blogs - double check you have capitalized I before you post. Go the following website "FIVE HABITS OF A CRITICAL THINKER" (click on the link). Read the article. Identify the skill you think is the most important. Then reflect on the list of five in regards to your own thinking. Do you practice critical thinking? Do you think that there should be other habits on this list of 5? Which trait do you think is the hardest to do? Which trait do you think is the easiest to do? Why? Give some real thought and reflection.
Then read other students reflections and respond to one that you agree with and one you disagree with and explain why you agree/disagree with them. |
