Think about the three Microsoft programs that we have learn about and answer
these questions in 100-150 words:
1. What is the program do you use the most and what for?
2. Which program did you learn the most about? Why?
3. For each program what is the most interesting thing you learned? When do you think you will use that again?
4. Are you going to retake the tests that you didn’t pass? Why or Why not?
Then respond to two other students about the coolest thing you seen them do with one of the three programs.
Again we are looking at sample Interview Questions and you can use the following website for advice on how to answer questions.
How to Answer 23 Interview Questions also try Acing Your Interview
Reminder - you need to use proper English and 200-300 words. Reply to 2 students and make suggestions about how they could have answered the question better.
Now the question for the week:.
"Tell me about any issues you've had with a previous boss or teacher."
Instead of completing mock interviews for the class the remaining DQ's will require you to post answers to sample interview questions. I expect answers to be answered as if you were in an interview setting and be written using proper English and using 200-300 words.
Here is a web site that will give you some advice on answering questions. How to Answer Tricky Questions
Answer the following interview question and then comment on (one) 1 other student's posts by giving them advice on a better way to answer the question, using the knowledge gained by reading the article above.
"What is your greatest strength, and one of your weaknesses?"
If you were the boss what would you do if one of your employees uses bad grammar that is reflecting poorly on your department's performance, how can you get a handle on this problem? What if employees keep saying they never know what is going on at work, what steps would you take to increase workplace communication? Also discuss the importance of good communication in the workplace. Give examples of good communication and bad communication you have observed. What effect did they have on the situation? Why is eye contact important? Is it appropriate to send a thank-you note or invitation via e-mail? Why or why not? Share a common form of body language that is often misinterpreted.
Answer each of the questions above. Then pick ONE other student to respond to and reflect on EACH of their answers stating if you agree or disagree with a reason why - I will not take "you gave a good answer, I agree" I want thought and intelligent responses.
Your initial post should be 200 words and you response should be 100 words. That is the minimum and not the maximum, and DO NOT put word counts on the responses.
Read the attached article and then write a response about what you learned from reading them, if you agree or disagree (your personal opinion on each of the article), and a summary of your thoughts. Use the following website for instructions on how to write a response to a newspaper article. http://homeworktips.about.com/od/essaywriting/tp/How-To-Write-A-Response-Paper.htm
Your peer responses should be to people you disagree with and tell them why you disagree and provide details with proof from other resources or the articles themselves.
Open the PDF file "Business Communication" read the document. Be prepared for a quiz on the information you read in class on March 12th.

Write a 200-300 word essay about your three methods of business communication including the history, pros/cons, tips for success, and most common uses in the business world. You MUST site your sources by providing the URL for each of the Internet sites you visited.
Respond to ONE student about their essay with a "Wow I didn't know that" and a "Question - I don't understand or need more clarification on this". I will also be responding through the week to students in this form so if you need ideas follow my lead, but don't use the same information I have post.
Everyone will need a response post so please TRY not to post to a student who another student has already made a post about their essay. You may post to students I have posted to, but please don't repeat my "WOW or Question"
When finished with the week everyone should have an essay written and one post from another student. (possibly a post from me as well.)
Our Final Exam was in regards to Social Media checks and here is a little article about legal issues with Social Media. Read the following article Facebook Issues then respond to the following questions.
Remember your post needs to be between 150-200 words. You need to respond to two people on their post.
"Every job is a self-portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence." From this quote there are many different meanings and many different ways to autograph your work.
Re-read the quote then tell us how you interpret this quote. Explain how you relate this to your school work and the things you currently do in your life.
Finally how will you make sure to follow this rule when you are in the working world.
When you respond to other students, because you know them so well, give them some constructive criticism about how they autograph their work.
Remember - 1st post 150-200 words, each post to another student is 50+ words
Read the attached article then in 150+ words answer the following questions about the article in essay form.
Finally you must ANSWER the question of the student by 12/20 for the 10 DQ points for next week.

Finally - you will be given two students names in class on Monday, tell them how they can improve on one of their procrastination skills listed in the article. Remember constructive criticism is not intended to hurt, but instead to help. If you are rude in your post it will be deleted and zero given for this weeks DQ. There is no need for you to tell another student about word counts or formatting please only comment on the subject at hand.
**** Some of you need to watch your spelling and punctuation in your blogs - double check you have capitalized I and names before you post and remember only put your FIRST NAME no last names ****
Mrs. Miller will use the blog to help students ask questions, remember what we did in class and just a place to discuss class topics.
