Discussion Question Introduction. This week is the start of 18 different DQ's that you will be asked to write using proper writing skills. The requirements will be discussed in class and you CAN fail this class because of not completing DQ so make them a priority.
Week one - "Who are you?" What are your future plans, dreams, fears, expectations for the school year, preferred learning methods, favorite subjects and interests. What do you think it takes to be successful in this class? How can I help you be successful? How can I make this classroom experience better? How can you make sure to get everything you can out of class? What is one thing that you would like to improve about your self this year? Remember to write using complete sentences, spell check, grammar check and proofread your work. This week you will be responding to ALL comments posted on your DQ last week. Extra credit opportunity is for you to ask questions to other students on their DQ from last week. This will be a continued process and you will need to respond to anyone that posts on last weeks DQ prior to Thursday at 8am. Your grade will be a percentage based upon how many responses are required. You will do all posting in last weeks DQ - not here. Please find and read a news/opinion article on
High Expectations for Teens Post a reply with the following information:
further thoughts about the subject, Etc.) Then respond to two other students after you have read the article and again provide intelligent comments. 1st post = 200 words 2nd post = 100 words 3rd post = 100 words If they don't have the word count I will deduct points. Also you need to spell check and proofread better. Here is the list of SuperHero/Villain and partners. Your job is to complete a Cover Letter, Resume, and Application for your person working with your partner. You will not put your name on any of the work, except the Application and you will list each person as a reference.
The job you are applying for is at ATK (Vista Outdoor) and can be found at this website - http://www.atk-jobs.com/vista/job/Lewiston-Assistant-Set-Up-Worker-Job-ID-83501/247921300/ - you will need to refer to this to know what to write your Cover Letter about to match the needs of the employer. You are thinking outside the box and you are allowed to make your hero/villain the best for the job because you know what the job needs/wants and you are making up the information. You need to research the hero/villain to know some known facts but after that you can make up what is needed to apply for the job.
